Repetitive. Monotonous. Tiring.
Three basic descriptions of the grueling days that the student- athletes of San Carlos City had endured prior to the opening of the annual Region 1 Athletic Association Meet. No one can deny that the preparations for the annual sports meet were truly challenging and taxing not only for the athletes, but also for the trainers, coaches, and team managers. Put to mind the concerted effort laid down by the unsung heroes of the preparations- the men and women of the Division Office who, in one way or another, contributed to the proceedings of the trainings.

Cliché as it may seem to be, the athletes sacrificed a lot in order to meet the expectations laid before them. Literal or metaphorical, they shed sweat and blood during the most challenging days of their trainings. Body aches never bothered them for they were truly focused on attaining excellence in their chosen field of competition.
Battered and tested, the mighty warriors of San Carlos pressed on because they knew then that the fruits of their toils and hard work were not far from reach. It was as if with every push up they made, every body crunch they endured, and every instruction they received, they already had a taste of victory and secured the medal for their beloved Division and beloved city. And at the end of the day, their families at home thought that they were already resting. But for the athletes of the Division of San Carlos, the night was just a brief respite. They were perfectly aware that the following day is a new day to better themselves- to improve and reach more heights. Even as they quietly slumbered, they still had dreams of training for a better performance.
Such was the tale of the mighty warriors of San Carlos.
Relentless. Bold. Strong. Focused.
These are the virtues they now possess, and they are more than ready to face another challenge along their way. ~cmby
