Central I Pool Improvement Gets at its Peak

To better serve student-swimmers and other swimming enthusiasts, the Central I pool area is being improved. Improvement intensifies as existing pool amenities are upgraded and new facilities are being constructed.

Among the list of improvements are the construction of concrete shades, shower and comfort rooms, fish pond, function hall, canteen, kitchen and the revival of the children’s pool. To add beauty and make the area more relaxing and inviting to guests, landscaping with bricks pavement is being undertaken. Fencing which is almost done will be followed by the construction of gate to ensure the security of guests.

Other attractions in the pool area include the mini-zip line and the tower which enables one to have a view of the city.

Soon to rise on the site are the pool office and guest rooms.

The on-going improvement of Central I pool is under the administration and supervision of Dr. Sheila Marie A. Primicias, Schools Division Superintendent.

The pool was constructed by the Marcelo G. Casillan Foundation spearheaded by Engr. Marcelo M. Casillan, Jr. Because of trust and confidence on the administration, the custody of the property was turned over to the Division of San Carlos City.

Being an active and innovative leader whose aim is for the welfare of the students and the entire Department of Education (DepEd) San Carlos City family, Dr. Sheila Marie A. Primicias initiated improvements of the property – Central I swimming pool.

Aside from the pool, turned over properties include the Don Federico Mandapat Dome and fitness gym located at Central II, and the amphitheater, museum and library at Central I.

The realization of the improvements of the Central I swimming pool, its amenities and facilities is due to the concerted efforts of the DepEd family of San Carlos City under the leadership of the Schools Division Superintendent.

The improvement of Central I swimming pool, a functional Olympic-sized pool in the region, is geared towards serving guests not only from San Carlos City but also from neighboring cities, towns and provinces.
