It is a
glorious pride of San Carlos City, Pangasinan to play host to the
Regional Schools Press Conference. A most heartwarming welcome to our
city for the 14 divisions of Region I.
The City Government and the DepEd-San Carlos City Division are here
to ensure the success of this Conference which will be held on December
12-14, 2017 with the theme “Embracing ASEAN Integration: Campus
Journalists’ Role in Advancing Inclusive Education.” I do believe that
ASEAN (or the Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Integration aims
to build a successful and more united ASEAN that has concrete effects on
the lives of individuals. ASEAN integration makes it faster to achieve
these objectives by working collectively, rather than individually.
ASEAN integration is expected to be the principal topic of young
aspiring campus journalists competing in their different categories.
This Regional Schools Press Conference will surely provide a venue
for an enriching learning experience for students interested in
Journalism as a career or those who intend to use skill sets learned
through campus journalism to give them a better edge in their chosen
careers. The best luck and may unity among all prevail amidst the quest
for victory. Welcome everyone, to the beautiful and historic City of San
Carlos.
