USec Umali, RD Torio – all praises to SCC BE Kick-Off

SAN CARLOS CITY-It’s the first time of SCC to host the Regional Kick-Off of Brigada Eskwela on May 28 but Usec. Tonisito MC. Umali, who was the guest of honor and speaker of the event, and Region 1 Director Alma Ruby C. Torio were all praises to both the schools division office and local government unit of the city.

“Talagang napakahusay ng ating SDS Sheila, hindi po ba?” was the very first line of USec. Umali in his speech. And regarding the event hosting, “This will easily qualify as a National Kick-Off of Brigada Eskwela, napakaganda, nakapakahusay,” said the undersecretary. Even the visual presentations were admired. “Napakahusay ng tagagawa ng slides ng ating schools division and I like to engage our SDS Sheila para malaman ko kung sino ang mga ito, kukunin ko para sa opisina ko ,” he jested. Moreover, the energetic undersecretary had obviously and repeatedly quoted Mayor Resuello who delivered his welcome message prior to the guest of honor’s speech. His commendation for the mayor was due, foremostly, to the latter’s commitment to school facilities improvement and sports programs. As USec. Umali called for community involvement, he confessed, “Region 1, lalawigan ng Pangasinan, lungsod ng San Carlos, napakahusay, epektibo, at may malasakit sa komunidad.”

Dr. Alma Ruby C. Torio, in one of her opening statements, also commended the leadership of SDS Sheila Marie A. Primicias and ASDS Mario S. Cariño for the preparation which is according to her, fabulous. “I would say, what an awesome and wonderful way to start the day and start this very significant activity, ” the director said. The commendation did not reside upon the leaders alone but in the entire division.

Director Torio expressed her appreciation of the staff participation. “I’m so overwhelmed with the so many attendees,” she exclaimed. To the city government, she had given a special recognition especially to the father of the city, Mayor Joseres Resuello. The special recognition was due to the mayor’s impressive partnership with the schools. Aside from posting her highest praises for the host, she requested the officials of the 13 other divisions and the regional leaders to face USec. Umali and commit to replicate in their respective divisions what’s being done in the division of San Carlos City. And she did not just refer to the kick-off program but to the preparation of schools.

The participants were similarly awed. Odesa Pagdanganan, a senior high school teacher from Turac National High School, when asked of what she thought of the event, responded, “An event that exudes more certitude and more essences! A commencement that delivers ebullience and depth in ways more than one!”

The participants were greeted by the grandly prepared venue which featured the best Brigada Eskwela practices of the city; a 9-foot-by-12 LED wall for the visual presentations, 14 50-inch TV sets for the best practices of the different divisions, elegant stage and table arrangements to name a few. But more than what are visible, the most essential ingredients of the successful event were intangible: dedication, devotion, sacrifice. Using the words of Dr. Primicias, “The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched, they are felt with the heart.”

The Brigada Eskwela Regional Kick-Off was attended by representatives coming from the 14 divisions and the brigada runs through June 2 with the theme “Pagkakaisa para sa Handa, Ligtas, at Matatag na Paaralan Tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan“.
