SDO SCC Journey to ISO Certification now on its 2nd stage


SDO-SCC is presently conducting the Division Training on Documentation Systems for ISO 9001:2015. It is the second stage of the Division’s journey to ISO certification. The three-day training started on June 27 and will conclude on June 30.

The course objective is to equip the Overall Document Controller and all document controllers assigned to each unit of SDO-San Carlos City the knowledge of the ISO 9001:2015 Requirements in terms of providing documented information needed to the implementation of quality management system (QMS). This is to ensure that all document controllers will be able to prepare quality manual, procedure manual, work instruction manual, listing of quality documents and quality records index exclusively customized to SDO-San Carlos City and to serve as a signal to the official implementation of QMS beginning March 2018.


Ms. Mae Ann O. Evangelista, a Junior Auditor of ISO talked about Quality Management System and ISO 9001:2015 Documentation System for the Schools Division Office of San Carlos City. She emphasized that for Deped SDO-San Carlos City to be at par in the Quality Management System, the top management including the Schools Division Superintendent , the Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, the Education Supervisors, Public Schools District Supervisors, and the Heads of Offices (HOOFs) shall commit themselves to the development and implementation of the quality management system and in continually improving its effectiveness and efficiency in the performance of providing services to the public.


Ms. Kaycee M. Mendoza, Junior Auditor, and Ms. Gelli M. Ortiz, training staff, both facilitated the workshops for the preparation of Controlled Document Masterlist, Procedure Manual, Work Instruction Manual, List of Quality Forms and Job Description and Specification.


Participants to the training are the Education Program Supervisors, Public Schools District Supervisors, all Unit Heads as well as the designated document controllers, internal auditors and the selected documenters/writers.
