Division officials, school heads, department heads, teachers, and non-teaching staff have assembled as early as 6AM to participate in the kick-off which commenced with a 20-minute dance workout that was led by teachers and students coming from the national high schools of Pangalangan and Tamayo. Coach Toni consequently delivered a talk on the importance of having a corporate wellness program. The Biggest Loser coach revealed an unpopular discovery, “A company’s success is directly related to the health and productivity of the employees, so there is a need for companies to prioritize the overall health and wellness of their employees.” “With the rise of lifestyle diseases in the country, an Employee Wellness Program should be seen as a core value of each and every company or organization in order to guarantee its long term success,” she appended. She then introduced the 4-minute MetaFIT Workout which is an effective workout that can be done in less than five minutes.
The inspiration and challenge posted by the coach’s exhortation resulted to the division’s paramount challenge acceptance towards a corporate program of losing weight. A 30-minute drill of stretching, jogging, flexing, and bending followed to animate the commitment.
In an interview with the celebrity host-coach, she expressed admiration to the division’s fitness leap, “Wow! I’m really, really proud of San Carlos City Division. Today, you officially have jump started your fitness journey because you have pledged to FitFil National Weight Loss Challenge 50,000 pounds. And that embodies a healthy, well, and fit mindset. That is a statement and a big thing about our educational system. You are not just our unsung heroes. You are the heroes. Thank you,” she closed.
