The Real Essence of Success

“Education is the best foundation.”

Indeed, it is. May I add to this saying that most people believe that education acquired from a prestigious learning institution is a sure passes to a bright future.

Most people think that the best education can be acquired from private or even exclusive schools. It is maybe because the said learning institutions have adequate and high grade facilities compared to their public school system counterparts.
In the rural areas, most parents enroll their children in the barangay schools for practical reasons. One such reason is the proximity of the school to their houses that their children will no longer spend for the fare. There are those parents, however, who chose to enroll their children in a school located in the town proper for exposure to a more advanced learning environment. They hope that this way, their children will perform better compared to those studying in the barrios.

With the advancement in Science and Technology, even barangay schools can now avail of the modern trends or practices in learning. In addition, teachers are regularly updated regarding the current trends in education. Gradually, the gap between the learner in a rural area and urban area is being bridged. Although there is still a significant difference, what is important is the effort on the part of the school and the learner to keep abreast with the changes.

Actually, in the end, it doesn’t matter where you studied and graduated from because the real essence of success is not the diploma bearing the name of your school but the character that you have become. It is how you carry yourself and you manage your life to the fullest that counts.
