History was made in Alaminos City as team San Carlos earned another gold medal and bagged the first gold medal in the 3×3 girls basketball event in the R1AA Meet 2018. The team consisting of Kristine Angeles, Christine Malong, Angela Mamaradlo, and Ma. Theresa Samonte out skilled and overpowered the opposing team in the championship round of the basketball tilt.
Team SCC showed great resilience and mental toughness and endured the tough competition. In the end, the players of team SCC proved that they truly deserve a shot in the Palarong Pambansa not just because of their skills, but also because they had the biggest heart during the game.
With the victory, the entire delegation of team SCC hopes to make more history. As an added bonus to the gold medal awarded to the team, players received Php 3000 from Mayor Joseres Resuello, and Php 10000 from Dr. Sheila Marie A. Primicias, the Schools Division Superintendent of San Carlos City.
