With the theme “Great Minds Converge for a Better San Carlos,” SUCs, Private and Public schools teaching personnel and administrators merged as one reflecting a big harmonious San Carlenian family. More than a thousand of educators in SCC attended the said event.
The program started with the singing of National Anthem, Prayer for Celebration and Pangasinan Hymn rendition led by Mr. Elmer Mustar and Mr. Maurison Aquino of SEPNAS and Mr. Christopher Pagdanganan of Turac NHS, respectively. Afterwards, Mr. Nelson Peralta, SDO Administrative Officer, presented all the participants.
“We, teachers, are responsible in educating the young for them to become good leaders of tomorrow,” said Assistant SDS, Mr. Mario Cariño, as he delivered his welcome address. He also challenged all the teachers to be flexible and work together as one for the children – the students.
Meanwhile, SDS Primicias told everyone about two powerful words that envelop her – gratitude and inspiration. Dr. Primicias expressed her gratitude to the city government for having an occasion such as the Educators’ Day wherein the efforts of the educators are acknowledged. She said that the number of attendees is so inspiring. “With this number, we can make a powerful community for the benefit of our students, betterment of the community and progress of San Carlos City,” Dr. Primicias said. “I feel great and inspired along my journey as your leader,” she added.
In the midst of the ceremony, City Mayor Joseres “Bogs” Resuello arrived in the complex. He thanked all the teachers for their intensive support to the city activities and all the contributors to SCC development.
This morning’s program was fun-filled by comedians Banj Tubigan, Amoy Power and Shawarma from Eat Bulaga Noontime Show of GMA TV Network. They staged an entertainment show through comedy lines and acts.
