The said incentives came from Local Government Unit of San Carlos City’s 2018 Supplemetal Budget for Sports amounting to Php5,000.00 (National) and Php3,000.00 (Regional) for gold medalist, Php3,000.00 (National) for silver medalist and Php2,000.00 (National) for bronze medalist. “The San Carlos City delegation competed in athletic events, basketball, and taekwondo, and they did their best. We hope that by next year we could double or triple the numbers of participants for Palarong Pambansa. Because teamwork wins championship, we must be united in pushing and letting out athletes’ dream into a reality,” Primicias said. Gloria noted that San Carlos City delegation won 15 gold, four silver and three bronze medals in the said national competition. “They are the pride of San Carlos City. They are truly amputi’y layag warriors,” he added.
