Balon Palapag staff attended a training on e-magazine at the Function Hall of the Siringan Sanctuary, Central I Elementary School, San Carlos City, Pangasinan, Feb. 22.
April Joy P. Dee, fourth year student taking up Bachelor of Science in Information Technology at San Carlos College served as the trainer with the guidance of Atty. Liwawa Siapno, Attorney III and Information Officer and Ms. Joan Sherbie Acosta, Education Program Specialist – Social Mobilization and Networking (SMN).
Through the training, editors, writers, layout/graphic artists, photojournalists and cartoonists learned about the BP website through Word Press – the procedure and workflow concerning online publication.
Balon Palapag, the official publication of San Carlos City Division, aims to give information, latest news and updates about different events in the division. With the online magazine, BP intends to provide high quality, ad-free publication, first step to digital publishing which is easier to access not only by San Carlenians but also worldwide.
The current homepage includes editorial, news, feature and sports sections. The page also contains lifestyle articles, music and videos.
